WHAT IS "OPERATIONS" ANYWAY?
Well, according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, operations is: the agency of an organization charged with carrying on the principal planning and operating functions of a headquarters and its subordinate units.
So basically, operations is EVERYTHING!
Being the spoke of the corporate wheel in self storage requires great flexibility, multi-tasking, and interdepartmental responsibilities. So while you are spinning plates while standing on one foot, allow us to help.
Does she understand the assignment?
With over 20 years of operations experience, Jennifer Downer takes pride in helping others achieve their goals. She has held a variety of operational roles such as COO, VP of Operations, Director of Operations and General Manager. She has served on executive leadership teams, established annual goals and developed strategic plans in the self storage, retail, and hotel industries. She enjoys analyzing data and tracking operational metrics to ensure higher ROI for her clients. While earning her MBA in 2016, she was able to achieve positive annual year-over-year income increases for a portfolio of 135 properties totaling 12MMSF and producing $4.25MM in total income.
She and her husband, Darius, reside in Athens, GA. They are a modern-day "Brady Bunch" with a combined seven children.
She has mastered the art of spinning plates while standing on one foot.
